Our advanced technology allows us to easily switch between sizes and grades of rebar to meet customers’ ever—more demanding specifications. Not only can we meet our customers’ needs today, but we will also be able to meet their needs of tomorrow as they seek Higher—Yielding, more environmentally sustainable rebar.

We are one of only a very limited number of steel producers in the world able to produce Size #18 rebar. And we are the only one able to do so using 100% renewable energy! Size #18 rebar is used on marine facilities, bridge and tunnel projects, and super tall buildings.

We will produce both stick and spooled rebar with capabilities to provide precise lengths, which greatly reduces yield losses for our customers. Our name says it all: we will produce Higher—Yielding Bar.

THE HY—LEVEL FACTS

  • Our direct current (DC) electric arc furnace increases energy efficiency and reduces carbon electrode consumption—both of which help protect the environment.
  • Our 40—ton hot heel reduces electric consumption by using residual heat to initially melt our scrap metal rather than using electrical power to initiate the melting process.
  • Our advanced water system minimizes water consumption throughout the mill.
  • Our direct connection to our solar facility and renewable energy battery storage facility are industry firsts and set the standard for environmentally sustainable rebar production worldwide.
