Our work to build a better tomorrow began long before putting the first shovel in the ground at our home in northeast Arkansas. We started by designing our mill to meet the world’s most rigorous sustainability requirements. This led to Hybar being the world’s first steel producer to obtain Green Bonds—Climate Bond certification. Our mill design also enables us to set our sights on becoming the only LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified steel rebar mill in the world.

100% Solar Powered Steel
Building tomorrow starts at the top. We’re talking about solar energy and how we plan to use it. Hybar will produce rebar using 100% solar energy through a direct connection to an adjacent, behind—the—meter solar installation. We’re the first in North America (and likely the world) to be able to do this.
